Agro-Bio launchs in primary hemostasis field with this first reagent: Apyrase ADP.
Research Use Only.
Agro-Bio’s Apyrase ADP is an enzyme extracted from a variety of Solanum tuberosum. After different processes, Agro-Bio provide two formulations of Apyrase :
This enzyme works on nucleotides by hydrolyzing their phosphate group. Thus addition of apyrase ADP in a platelet suspension degrades the nucleotides released during the platelet washing. In this way platelets cannot be activated by these nucleotides through their P2X1 and P2Y1 receptors and maintain their discoid shape. This procedure enables platelets to maintain in resting state from 5 to 8 hours. It increases the platelet stability time of 50% compared to PRP* – which is stable for 3 hours.
